Wood Burning Stove Installation in Blackheath

Every property requires a carefully planned installation. Our team begins by assessing the fireplace, chimney, room size and ventilation requirements.

We then recommend a suitable stove and explain the work that the installation will require. This approach gives the homeowner a clear understanding of the project before work begins.

Depending on the property, the installation may include:

• Opening and preparing the fireplace chamber
• Fitting a chimney liner and internal flue pipe
• Installing a chimney pot and suitable cowl
• Laying a new hearth
• Rendering the fireplace chamber
• Fitting a register or throat plate
• Installing a fireplace beam or mantelpiece
• Connecting and testing the wood burning stove
• Completing the required HETAS certification

Casa can manage the complete project without the homeowner needing to coordinate several different trades.

Stoves for Blackheath Homes

Blackheath has a varied mix of period houses, converted properties and modern homes. Many older properties retain original chimney breasts and fireplace openings. However, their condition can vary considerably.

Our team checks the existing chimney and fireplace before recommending an installation method. We can identify problems with the flue, chimney opening or ventilation at an early stage.

A correctly chosen stove should suit both the room and the property. Our installers consider the room size, heat requirement and available fireplace space when discussing the options.

Local Blackheath Stove Installation Case Study

Casa recently completed a full wood burning stove installation in Blackheath.

The project included opening the fireplace chamber and fitting a chimney pot, flue liner and pot-hanging cowl. Our team also rendered the chamber, laid the hearths and made a bespoke throat plate with an inspection hatch.

We then installed a GeoCast beam and connected the stove to the internal flue system. The completed case study includes photographs from each stage of the installation.

Chimney Liners and Flue Systems

The chimney and flue system play an essential role in every stove installation. Our team inspects the available chimney route before selecting the correct approach.

Where necessary, we can fit a new flue liner, internal flue pipe, chimney pot and cowl. We connect each component carefully to create a complete route from the stove to the chimney terminal.

Casa also provides CCTV chimney inspections when a visual assessment cannot confirm the internal condition of the flue.

Fireplace Chambers, Hearths and Beams

A stove installation often involves more than fitting the appliance. The fireplace chamber may need opening, repairing or rendering before it can accommodate the new stove.

Our team can prepare the chamber, lay suitable hearths and fit fireplace beams or mantelpieces. We aim to create a finish that suits the character of the room and complements the chosen stove.

Chimney Sweeping and Stove Servicing in Blackheath

Casa also provides chimney sweeping, wood burning stove servicing and flue inspections in Blackheath.
