Wood Burning Stove Installation in Blackheath Casa Installation photographs and proven local work
This wood burning stove installation in Blackheath transformed an existing fireplace into a clean and professionally finished feature. The completed fireplace now provides an attractive focal point and a practical source of heat.
Our team opened the fireplace chamber and installed a new flue system. We also rendered the chamber, laid the hearths and made a bespoke throat plate. Finally, we fitted a GeoCast beam and connected the stove.
Preparing the Blackheath Wood Burner Installation
First, our installers knocked out and opened the existing fireplace chamber. This created enough space for the new stove and flue system.
The team then prepared the chimney for the liner, pot and cowl. Careful preparation at this stage helped the installation progress smoothly.
Installing the Chimney Pot and Flue Liner
Next, our team fitted a new chimney pot, flue liner and pot-hanging cowl.
The liner provides a continuous route through the chimney for the stove gases. It connects the appliance inside the property to the chimney terminal above the roof.
Rendering the Chamber and Laying the Hearths
Our team opened the fireplace chamber to the required dimensions. We then added angle beads to create clean and straight edges.
Next, our installers applied the first coat of render inside the chamber. They also laid and positioned the new hearths.
After the first coat had dried, the team completed the rendering. This produced a clean and even finish around the new stove opening.
Fitting the Bespoke Throat Plate
Our team made a bespoke throat plate to fit the fireplace. The plate includes an inspection hatch for future access to the flue connection.
The installers positioned the custom plate above the stove chamber. They then completed the remaining finishing work.
Adding the GeoCast Beam and Connecting the Stove
Our installers fitted a GeoCast beam above the fireplace opening. It provides the appearance of a traditional timber beam and complements the newly rendered chamber.
The team then positioned the stove on the hearth. They connected it to the internal flue pipe and attached the pipe securely to the chimney liner.
This stage brought the Blackheath stove installation close to completion.
Completed Wood Burning Stove Installation in Blackheath
