London Wood Burner Stove Shop Casa of Peckham Reaches 21 Years

Casa's History

Established in November of 1998, Casa of Peckham has reached the 21 year milestone. The London based Wood Stove Shop has evolved from Eco Architectural Salvage to the latest Eco Log Burning Stoves

CASA has continued to evolve as a shop with a focus on customer-care.
We source, supplying and install quality items to complement our clients’ period homes, across South London. Fireplaces, wood-burning stoves and cast-iron radiators have, and continue to be, our speciality, interest and passion.

Environmentally aware, the Company started as Camberwell Architectural Salvage and Antiques (CASA).
Over the years we have salvaged, restored and fitted original fireplaces, wood burning stoves, cast-iron radiators and original architectural features.
This has given us a knowledge of the traditional mantelpieces enabling us to work with stone cutters in reproducing these styles.
Coupled with an appreciation of architecture, we can advise on features of period properties from the Georgian era through to 20th Century Modern.

The original stoves we fitted were ornate French stoves, we would salvage on trips to Paris.
This then evolved into the modern stoves of the ‘noughties’ when we worked with manufacturers in the designing of stoves, and gained a wealth of knowledge which we share and advise our customers with.
As the stove and fireplace industry has evolved we have continued to embrace advances and adapt with change.

Stoves and the use of wood now:

The latest eco-design ready stoves are the next level of clean burning. They boast ultra-low emissions and high efficiency. By 2020 in London, they will be the norm for all new installations. This is the natural movement towards a cleaner, greener Planet.

Wood fuels for stoves are from renewable resources, kiln-dried to under 20% moisture ensuring particle emissions remain low and return a carbon neutral footprint.

Hetas and the Clean Air Strategy:

Hetas is the only specialist organisation approving solid fuel heating appliances, fuels and services. This also includes the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses.
CASA is a registered Business for the retail, installation and servicing of solid fuel appliances.

The Government Clean Air Strategy of 2019 has identified, and we promote:
“Using Clean fuels, in a cleaner appliance, which is installed by a competent person, knowing how to operate it efficiently, and ensuring that chimneys are regularly swept, will all make a big difference
